Core Capabilities

Discovery Counsel Service

We serve as National Discovery Counsel for multinational corporations, Korean and Korean-American companies, and sophisticated enterprises navigating complex, high-stakes litigation and government investigation. Acting as a strategic bridge between client and trial counsel, we provide centralized, coordinated discovery management designed to reduce costs, promote consistency, ensures compliance, and minimizes risk across multiple jurisdictions and matters.

Discovery is one of the largest , and most controllable, cost centers in modern litigation, often accounting for 20-50% of total spend. Drawing on decades of experience representing global corporations, we combine legal, technical, and strategic expertise throughout the discovery lifecycle, from document preservation and collection through review, production, and litigation support. Our approach allows trial counsel to focus on substantive advocacy while ensuring that discovery obligations are managed efficiently, consistently, and defensibly.

Multilingual Discovery and Institutional Knowledge

A distinguished strength of our practice is our team of Korean-speaking attorneys with extensive experience managing complex, cross-border discovery. In matters involving Korean corporations, Korean-language documents can represent more than 80% of the data set. Our in-house language capabilities enable us to conduct targeted document review, identify relevant information, and coordinate production more efficiently while reducing dependence on external review vendors.

Our longstanding client relationships also provide us with valuable institutional knowledge of corporate operations, document systems, litigation histories, and recurring discovery issues. By leveraging this knowledge across matters, we help clients maintain consistency, avoid duplicative efforts, and develop coordinated discovery strategies that support both ongoing litigation and future matters.

AI-Enhanced Discovery and Technology-Driven Solutions

Recognizing that artificial intelligence is transforming the management of complex litigation, we are actively integrating advanced legal AI technologies into our discovery practice. AI-assisted document analysis, automated classification, advanced information retrieval, and technology-enabled workflows offer opportunities to improve the speed, efficiency, and consistency of reviewing and managing large volumes of electronically stored information.

These technologies support more targeted identification of relevant documents, streamlined review processes, and more efficient discovery management. By combining AI-assisted capabilities with the experience and judgment of our attorneys, we seek to reduce unnecessary review burdens, improve proportionality, and enable legal teams to focus greater attention on substantive analysis, litigation strategy, and risk management.

Beyond commercially available legal AI tools, our firm is collaborating with technology professionals and external advisors to develop customized AI-enabled infrastructure tailored to our discovery practice and the operational needs of our institutional clients.

Our development initiatives focus on integrating intelligent document retrieval, historical matter information, institutional knowledge management, and workflow automation into a more coordinated discovery environment. These efforts are intended to improve access to client-specific information, reduce repetitive tasks, and facilitate greater consistency and efficiency across multiple matters and litigation teams.
